about

A percolating fun ride - raveling and unraveling an infectious baseline with an upbeat percussion groove. This high energy instrumental gives a nod the African bassist Bakithi Kumalo, best known for his work on Paul Simon’s ‘Graceland' album. “Orfafardo’ was originally recorded in 1989 with multi-tracked basses on a 4-track tape machine. A few years ago (Peter Gabriel alumni) Simon Clark remixed the track and added a piano solo. For this new version for the album BP2, percussion, drums, trumpet were added along with some remarkable harmonica work by Bill Barrett really setting the piece on fire!

Richard Ford Los Angeles, California

Richard Ford, turned from a career as a pro bass player to become a music editor for feature film. But there has always been an itch to get the basses out of the closet and create some music of his own.
With no commercial aspirations this is a personal, unashamedly, self indulgent project.
