This is so beautifully sung by Kessi Blue - subtle and delicate - she is such a talent. I’ve loved the original track for years. The Blue Nile has been a long time fave group. When I knew Kessi was excited to be involved things took off.
Jake once again added the perfect drum part - so friggin good!. I must confess working with Mark Orton on this string arrangement was a highlight in the making of BP2. I went up to Portland for the string session - great fun. Such luscious lines so beautifully played. I got to put in a little (baritone style) solo. So happy we got to record this song. Very proud of how it sounds.
